a Back Phone Case

for Samsung Galaxy S6 from Scratch

using Rhino and Makerbot Printer


 

I got my sketch done and “clean version” of my sketch in Illustrator

I  read “Manual Guide of Using Rhinoceros 5” to understand and barely know how the software works.

Today is my big day, because as my goal, my back phone case design should be done today. Here’s my process

Step 1: “PictureFrame” to import the picture for tracing on.

Step 2: “Curve” tool to trace my design from sketch

 

 

 

Step 3: Hide my sketch to show more about design (should put them on different layers)

at 4 viewpoints (Top, Front, Right and Perspective)

Step 4: “Solid” to turn lines to blocks and make the base thick as a card size (0.73mm)

Step 5: “Different” is the tool to turn design like a “hole punch” on the surface

Finally done and they will be ready to print on Makerbot printer tomorrow.

1st MISSION COMPLETED !!!
